I've been thinking about what to say about this show for hours. The range of emotions I went through was extensive. If I had to choose one word to describe the show, it would be EPIC! ;D I'd never seen a full band show before, and was a bit 'worried' when there was no acoustic guitar on the stage. Michael had it backstage to save room I'm guessing. The first set was the new album, from start to finish. AMAZING bunch of songs! If I could dance I would have done so. As usual, the anecdotes between songs provided some insights and humor. The first set ended with a song I don't recall the title of that "will be on the next album which should be released in about 4 years". lol I'll have to let someone else fill in the setlist for the second half of the show, which consisted (mostly) of songs from 620 and Gethsemane. I didn't have anything to make notes with. The highlight for me was when Michael told my story and sang a verse from Carry Your Cross to me. I overflowed with emotion and broke down sobbing. Michael choked up at the end of the first chorus and ended the song there. It was perfect. Thanks Terri for posting this! youtu.be/Bcoj7B4HlgMOver all, the show was a rock fest! The new album is quite upbeat, despite how many time he apologized for the slow songs! lol The crowd was heavily involved, the love for Michael literally filled the room with a physical presence. I got ONE good still photo during the show, I really should have read the camera manual before going inside! I did manage 4 decent videos, sent them to Michael to OK before sharing. Will keep you updated on those. Heather was outstanding! The band totally rocked. The crowd was stellar. Yeah, EPIC fits this show! I am still in the clouds from the experience...

Thanks for the review Jeff. So nice to hear (and see) that he did "Carry Your Cross" for you. So wish I could have been there.

Not the show itself, but very much related, I thought I would share some other thoughts/feelings from the evening. The fans. I had been having trouble expressing just exactly my feeling about meeting soo many Michael fans that night. Some from the boards, some not. Maryintexas gave me the words tonight that truly fit: "like i have been at a family reunion". This is exactly it! I have never experienced ANYTHING like this before, and perhaps why I could not describe it. Even being a relative 'newbie' to Michael, the people I met that nite truly made me feel like we were all just a big family! In the lobby of the theater, on the sidewalk smoking, after party... everyone I met was just as a well liked cousin/aunt/uncle, etc... I thought this deserved mention for those that may have never been to one of his shows.

There is a new video posted on Youtube. Very cool song, but the song name isn't posted.
Sometimes, you heed the darkness, Sometimes you need the darkness, in order to see the light"

Well said Just Jeff - bout the family reunion thing. I feel that way whenever we go see Michael in Philly area - so many regulars come out year after year and it feels like a family reunion!!!
