Let me preface this by saying I am a huge fan of Tolkien. I play on online game called "Lord Of The Rings Online". In this game there is a complex but really cool music system. It allows for players to create and play music in the game. Being a fan of Michael as well, I decided to mix the 2 loves. I created a Minstrel (Mcdermott Murphy), whose basic job in the game is the raise others morale thru songs (ballads). I am a quite limited musically, but have managed to put together a couple songs so far. I'd like to share them with you all. The first song Mcdermott performed was an old Irish folk tune, Whiskey in the Jar, (like The Dubliners youtu.be/46EXY4oP1Do) performed in the countryside somewhere outside The Shire: youtu.be/wufcu5gHnPkTonite he performed inside the Prancing Pony in Bree, a Springsteen cover ( youtu.be/PnYVrfwa4MY) of Badlands: youtu.be/XBBkJxhQUB0 BTW, the title behind his name (Ballad Master) was earned doing various quests. Both of my uploaded YouTube songs from the game are best viewed in 1080p, so change the quality if able. Kinda corny I know, but done with my heart in the right place. I'd love nothing more than to do an actual Michael song. I have a crude work up of "Idler" but it need SERIOUS help! lol If any of you have the talent to make a MIDI of "Idler" on the keys, I'd be SO greatful! I could figure out adding the lyric notes as a second track and merging them. MIDI is the format I need to be able to convert into .abc for the game. I know it probably seems silly to most, but I have nothing but time usually to dream up projects.

OK. A good friend of mine obtained a MIDI controller for me. Rather than baby me by doing the song himself, he gave me the controller so that I might learn how to play the keys while I'm on this journey. My ultimate goal, obviously, is for the character to do actual Michael songs. While the other 2 songs I have done so far were from MIDI files found on the web, the one I worked up today is completely done by me. My hands don't work 100%, and this was my first time plunking at the keys. Over the last 12 hours I have laid down the MIDI for "Carry Your Cross", transposed it into a .abc file, and adjusted the pitch to be played in game on the lute (there were no keyboards in Tolkien's world). If there is no interest, please let me know and I will stop posting these on this forum. I'll keep working at and getting better at it either way. I am simply combining 2 of my greatest loves in Michael and Lord of the Rings with hopes that some passer by will hear me playing in game and ask "What song is that?". Then I get the chance to turn a new person onto Michael's music. *edit* Ooops, forgot to add the link. Turn it up to 1080p if you can. youtu.be/4Bqn4v2Gd_c
